Umbul-Umbul are beautiful celebration flags that originated in Bali, Indonesia. I lived in Indonesia for nine years and now enjoy making my own version of these wonderful flags from 100% polyester habutai in a variety of gorgeous colours, or with a contrasting colour trim with a double pennant or in plain white for you to paint or decorate yourself. These "blanks" are very popular now with schools or colleges for art projects. I have also made some from beautiful saris and have imported some direct from Bali with heart shapes at the tip of the flags. I also import beautiful Dragon Flags, Rainbow Flags, Black and White Check Flags, Dancing Flags (streamers) and Mini Flags.
I can supply silk paints or fabric pens to decorate your blank flags. Use your umbul as a beach or festival campsite marker, decorate your garden for a summer party, enjoy watching the breezes rippling up the silky flag and making the tips dance while you relax, listen to music, practise yoga or think of absolutely nothing in particular. Dress up an entrance or driveway for your wedding, special event or exhibition. For weddings I now have gorgeous 7m white flags with heart shaped ends - made in Bali from very strong parachute material.
Laser cut lettering is now available to promote your event or company name/logo. These flags invite you to look up and help lift your spirits. They add a real wow factor wherever they are displayed. The poles and ground stakes do virtually no damage to the environment.
I can supply glass fibre telescopic poles which have a solid glass fibre tip - perfect to display your flag. These come in 3m, 4m, 5m, 6m, 7m or 8m lengths and will need between 1 and 3 ground stakes depending on length of pole and/or wind conditions.
The 6m/7m poles require at least two ground stakes for each pole - 3 if very windy and the 8m poles need 3 stakes per pole. Or use one of the new heavy duty Superstakes - one Superstake can be used instead of two or three of the normal ground stakes.
